Please be warned that the following video is something like 14 minutes long. It would be best watched during your lunch hour.
I know you’ll probably say we’ve all got a CRAZY ass preacher in our past, but how many of those crazy men of the cloth believed in witches?
Should McCain/Palin win, as predicted here on PolitiPorn, can we expect this guy to deliver the prayer before the oathes are administered?
Can we expect him to head the U.S. Commission on Witchcraft and Other Crazy Shit (USCWOCS)? It’s going to be a very interesting time for us under these guys. If you’re a woman, like to wear black, have a cat and live in any of the various town called “Salem”, I’d be very nervous right about now.
To be fair, check out the Freddie/Fannie scandal. We have another crook that is running for office as well.
I have no one to vote for this year. Either way we get a crook into office. Amazing how Americans can figure this out.
Dear College Lawyer Type;
What exactly is it about this pastor praying in his local church for a member of his congregation is it that bothers you?
Please, be as specific as you can.
@MSSC54 – I don’t have a problem with this so-called pastor praying in his local church for a member of the congregation. I never said that I did.
The problem specifically is with this nut-house loon of a pastor’s belief in witchcraft. Now, the GOP has made alot of hay out Rev. Wright’s anti-American hate speech and his association with Obama. I thought it would be instructive for others to get a glimpse of a pastor from the other side.
Here’s excerpt of story done on the guy in the video, Rev. Muthee’s background:
“Turns out, Muthee began his ministry with a witch hunt against a Kenyan woman he accused of causing car accidents through demonic spells, according to the Christian Science Monitor, which first reported the story in 1999. Muthee publicly declared the woman “a witch responsible for the town’s ills, and order her to offer her up her soul for salvation or leave Kiambu . . . The woman fled.”
Say what you want…that’s some crazy crap pure and simple. Does it rise to the level of Wright’s anti-American hate speech? I’d say “no”, but it does beg the questions, Why would Palin allow this NutJob to pray over her?
Muthee has some anti-American sentiment in his background as well, but we’ll leave that for another day.
Finally, I’d ask my Christian GOP readers to ponder these questions, Why is the GOP playing down Palin’s Pentecostal background and why did she turn her back on that denomination prior to seeking public office? Just curious.
One last note, don’t assume from my liberal leanings or my registered status as a Democrat that I am not a Christian.
Politipornster – I am attaching a link to some of Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s hate speak for your viewing pleasure.
Your attempt to turn Sarah Palin being prayed over by Rev. Muthee as some how being as scandalous as Rev. Wright’s hatespeak does not work. I do not know anything about Rev. Muthee, but I do know much about Rev. Wright. The fact that Obama attended that church and considered Rev. Wright a mentor until it was politically detrimental to his campaign speaks volumes over Sarah Palin being prayed over by someone who believes in witches. BTW, there are people who are Wiccans who call themselves witches. I met one while I was in the Navy and he was quite weird.
Your last statement does not make clear whether you are a Christian or not. 🙂
“I met one while I was in the Navy and he was quite weird.”
The Fallen, you are the master of understatement, LOL.
To my knowledge he did not try to put a spell on me. 🙂
Dear College Boy Lawyer Type;
So then…. you don’t believe in the spirit realm.
Wow.
I wonder why the witch fled?
While I find the clip on the connection between Keating and McCain intriguing, it is a far stretch to make any argument as to this connection being the underlying reason for the Mortgage crises. The real reason, as any informed Democrat or Republican should know, was Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac who Dems fought ferociously to keep deregulated. These government backed enterprises were the “conduit” to the commercial/mortgage banks and Wall Street. How ironic that the very word “deregulation” that Obama and the democrats are trying to demonize is the very privilege democrats protected for loans given to individuals that did not have the resources nor the intellect to sign onto. It is not Wall Street that created this crises; it was these bad loans that flooded Wall Street that corrupted the financial market. If Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were under the same Sarbanes Oxley regulatory mandates that other financial institutions were then the financial market may not be in the situation it is in today.
